Best performance
My brother Rick and I went to a Magic FM Christmas party. We were there to do a small acoustic set. On the train ride home, everyone looked kind of down. I turned to Rick and said, “Come on, it’s Christmas. I’ve got antlers. You’ve got a guitar. Why don’t we sing some songs and see what happens. Rick gave me a look and said, “Are you sure?” I smiled and said, “Yeah, let’s do it.” So we started singing right there on the train. What we didn’t know was that a sweet girl nearby was filming us. The video went viral. That was a big surprise. At first, I thought, “This might be a huge mistake. It could ruin my career. I’m really glad we did it. That moment even helped inspire a Christmas album. It led to many good things.

Worst moment of your life?
The brief moment when you lose sight of your child it’s happened to me a few times as a parent, and I think every parent has been there. You suddenly look, and they’re not where you thought they were. It’s a terrifying, shocking feeling. It’s happened to me a couple of times, when I had no idea where they were. Without a doubt, the worst moments in life as a parent always involve your children.
Worst drunken mistake
One night, I drank too much with a promoter. Later, I went back to my hotel. In the middle of the night, I got up to use the bathroom. I opened the wrong door and got locked out. I was almost naked just in knickers. The hallway was bright. I was stuck. I ran to the elevator and went to the lobby. The man at the desk looked shocked but gave me a key. I rushed back to my room, so embarrassed.
