Majo Aguilar has tried many music styles. She’s sung cumbia, pop, and ballads. But at 27, she feels most at home in ranchera music. “I love music and enjoy all kinds,” she says. “But ranchera makes me feel free. It fills me up.”Majo comes from a famous musical family. Her father is Antonio Jr and uncle is Pepe Aguilar. Her cousins are Angela and Leonardo.

Her aunts are Dalia Inés and Marcela Rubiales. Her grandparents, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, were stars in Mexico’s Golden Age of cinema. Ranchera is a big part of her family’s history.

“Me Vale” is a song I wrote with Bruno Danzi and Adrian Navarro. They are amazing composers from Mexico. This song has many sides. It’s fun. It’s powerful. It’s fresh. It makes you feel strong. It’s about a breakup. Maybe you leave someone. Or maybe they leave you. Later, that person tries to come back. But you’re already doing fine. They bring drama, but you don’t care anymore. You’ve moved on. The song is your way of saying, “I don’t give a damn.”

María José Aguilar Carrillo, also known as Maja Aguilar, was born in Mexico City on June 7, 1994. Her zodiac sign is Gemini. Majo comes from a family of famous singers. Her father is Antonio Aguilar Hilo, a well-known singer. Her sister’s name is Susana Aguilar. Her grandparents are music legends Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre.
